Amazon in the UK is looking to cash in on the concept of Black Friday, which saw US shoppers last year spend a reported $10 billion. It will be offering five days of high discount, limited time, limited quantity offers culminating on November 26, with highlighted items including Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox consoles, and Harry Potter box sets.

“For many years, shoppers in the US have enjoyed massive savings on great products as a result of the ‘Black Friday’ phenomenon,” said Brian McBride, managing director, Amazon UK. “Amazon will replicate that activity for the benefit of all customers here in the UK.”
