Acutrack, a media publishing and fulfilment firm in the San Francisco Bay area, has announced the recent opening of a sales office in Mumbai, India – the heart of Bollywood. This, said executive VP and CIO Asheesh Barman, follows the success of the EasyBD-1-2-3 programme that was launched last year, and which has hit a chord with many filmmakers from the very beginning.

“Acutrack’s expansion into the region specifically to serve the growing demand for Blu-ray is a good indicator that 2010-2011 should be positive years for BD authors and replicators,” he added. “With our India office now open, we are truly excited about the opportunities this presents us to help our valued clients there.”
Indian film studios need their finished BD titles delivered to North American and European retailers and direct consumers efficiently and cost effectively, and Acutrack can also help with that, said Barman, as the company offers short-run BD duplication to independent filmmakers as well as advertising and marketing firms.
